Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen (2009)

Review:

I'll go straight to the review this time. If you haven't watch this, it's a good thing. Don't let those synopsis spoils everything.

To begin with, it's not what i actually expected. I watched the first movie 2 years ago and i love it! I've always love Michael Bay's movies. The Rock, Armageddon, just to name a few. And i must say, the first transformer was a blast! One of the best sci-fiction, action movie ever! And because of that, a lot of people had been having great expectation on the second one. The same goes to me...

I would say Shia is not at his very best in this sequel. What happen to his acting? Maybe when you get popular and the amount of your paycheck increase over the years, you got over excited, over confidence that you got too relax? Easy money, huh? I really missed his performance in the first one as well as in Disturbia. He seems to lost it. And Megan Fox? Okay, i admit she's hot and fun to look at. But that's all. Nothing more. All she's selling is her body, her face, her sexiness and i bet guys love that. Even though i'm a girl, i like to watch her too, not to mention guys, right? But i'm really hoping for some real act, some improvements. And Josh Duhamel... Omg! What happened to his scenes? All cut off or what? The hottest guys who's everyone favourite gets just a few lines and there's not much of his action scenes too. So is his fellow army mates. Maybe all the time have to be given to the extra transformers. Who knows?

As for the story line, i shall say it's nothing as compared to the first one. I remembered being so excited, from the first second of the movie till the last scene. But the sequel? At some point, i do wish that it's a tape i was watching, so i can always fast-forward. And some of the scenes are unnecessary. What's with Sam's mother getting high in the college? It's funny, of course but it's unnecessary and it's a waste of time. And what's with the final scene when Shia and Megan trying to run to Optimus and avoid being captured by the Decepticons? The scene switches from action to romance to action to romance to action. It's like they are taking forever to get to Optimus.

Even so, i shall say it's a good watch! The graphics, effects are all awesome! Michael Bay had really make a good movie afterall. And not forgetting that the fighting scenes are fun to watch. And for those transformers fans out there, i guess they are satisfied with more and more transformers added into this sequel. I personally have fun throughout the 2 1/2 hours(i guess) although there are some flaws. I have no regret watching this on the big screen...

Ratings: 9.3 /10 (i would have rated it 10/10 if only the story line is better)
